ABOUT KAALRAV

Kaalrav is the annual cultural fest of Sikkim Manipal Institute of Technology (SMIT) and one of the most awaited college festivals in Northeast India. A vibrant celebration of creativity and talent, it provides a stage for students to showcase their skills across cultural, artistic, and technical domains. With high-energy events such as dance competitions, solo singing, beatboxing, rapping, battle of bands, street plays, e-sports tournaments, hackathons, and fashion shows, Kaalrav has evolved into a melting pot of art, passion, and youthful spirit.

Every edition of Kaalrav is centered around a unique theme that defines the festival’s ambiance. In 2024, "Bollywood Extravaganza" celebrated the magic of Indian cinema with electrifying performances by Msonic and Twin Strings. Looking ahead, Kaalrav 2025 embraces the theme "Around the World," promising an immersive experience of global cultures and traditions. Over the years, the festival has hosted some of the biggest names in entertainment, including Ricky Kej (3x Grammy Winner), Twin Strings, Mantra, Euphoria, Naalayak, The Local Train, Ritviz, Julia Bliss, and Shirley Setia, along with comedians like Biswa Kalyan Rath, Rajat Chauhan, and Ashish Solanki.
